Rachel is a certified Life Coach and current member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She is pursuing a Health Coach certification with the American Council on Exercise and the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching. In 2024, she will complete a doctorate in Strategic Leadership with a concentration in organizational coaching from Regent University, Virginia Beach VA. Her area of focus is in improving healthy outcomes for ages 55+. She is a Fall Prevention specialist and Tai Chi Instructor.

My coaching journey started with a loved one falling and breaking their back. Everyone told me there was no way they would survive. I refused to believe the hopeless situation and stepped up to provide encouragement and motivation. During their recovery to full mobility, I realized that senior health and wellness is an increasing societal concern. A significant fall often triggers a long road of hospitalizations and rehabilitation. Falling is scary by itself; imagine not having anyone to help you up or hear your cries for assistance. My family member's experience made me aware of the need for expanded attention to health & wellness in the senior community. Health coaching for 55+ is client-driven and builds on strengths, values, and goals to improve overall health and reduce stress. Most importantly, it places the client in the best condition to thrive!

My goal is to empower clients to become the best version of themself. I seek to coach others to achieve their health and wellness goals through motivation and encouragement. As active participants in their life-story, change is possible. Through a healthy cooperative partnership, clients tap into their hidden potential. Their success is their self-doing as they realize a healthy and happy vision for their future. Coaching is client-driven and centered on self-efficacy. Essentially, they chart the course, and I serve as their compass in whatever direction they seek.
